MEDICARE REBATE
We are registered providers with Medicare.
In order to claim a rebate under the Better Access Initiative you will need a current referral from your General Practitioner. If you meet criteria your General Practitioner will complete a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) under the Better Access Initiative and provide an associated referral to a Psychologist. This provides you access to up to 10 rebated psychology sessions in a calendar year.
The current Medicare rebate is $145.25 (as at 1.7.25) per session. Please note re-referral from your General Practitioner is required after session 6 and 10 to continue receiving rebates; at these points in therapy a report is required to be provided from your treating Psychologist to the referring General Practitioner with general information, updates on treatment and progress as well as recommendations for future care.
Full consultation fee is required at the time of consultation and your medicare claim will be submitted on your behalf (rebates are then paid by Medicare into your nominated bank account).
PRIVATE HEALTH
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim partial costs of your Clinical Psychology consultation fees. Please seek advice direct from your insurer.
SELF REFERRALS
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with us. If you would prefer to not visit your General Practitioner for a referral or are not eligible under the Medicare Better Access Initiative you can simply make an appointment. Please note that self-referred clients are required to pay the full cost of sessions at their own expense.

24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations.
A fee equivalent to the full session fee will be charged for cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment time and missed appointments. This is a courtesy to treating clinicians and also to other clients who require care, and may be on our waitlist. You will receive a reminder SMS 3 days before each appointment allowing time to ensure you are able to attend.
Please not that non-attended appointments cannot be rebated through Medicare and the fee will be deducted from the credit card details provided at the time of booking or an invoice will be sent. Payment will be required before booking / attending another appointment.
